Missing plane porn: titillating the news consumer

As usual, media has turned that missing Malaysian Airlines tragedy into porn. The only things we know are: (1) a Malaysian Airlines jet bound for Beijing went missing;(2) search has not yielded any results so far.

Everything else about the tragedy is media-fueled speculation which, in this case, is the same thing as the titillation that people who dish out porn thrive on. The experts that media invites to weigh in on the tragedy act as lotion so they can prolong jerking off the public before its genitals go up in flames.

As an old reporter told me, “that’s the business. Sasalsalin namin ang storya hanggang matuyo. Ratings, pare, ratings.”
