Joma Sison: The quintessential two-faced double talker
A couple of days ago, we wrote a post about a statement from the Communist Party of the Philippines. “CPP calls for support to the Bangsamoro revolutionary struggle”. Communist Party of the Philippines, August 16, 2008.
The last paragraph of the CPP’s call to arms goes:
-
The CPP instructs the New People’s Army throughout the country to intensify tactical offensives against the fascist armed forces as a concrete step to support the resumption of the revolutionary armed struggle of the Bangsamoro as well as to take advantage of the present preoccupation of the enemy forces in fending off the Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces.
Now here comes Joma with a new statement in another one of his websites where he disowns his call to arms.
He said,
-
Contrary to the propaganda issued by the psywar experts of the Arroyo regime, I am not in any position to issue orders to the New People’s Army (NPA) to undertake tactical offensives in sympathy with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). My role as NDFP chief political consultant is assisting peace negotiations and not issuing military orders to the NPA.
Teka muna Joma, sino ba si Armando Liwanag na chairman ng CPP, hindi ba ikaw din yun?
Naknamputanaman. Chairman Armando Liwanag kung may order, Consultant Joma kung kailangan tumanggi.
Ayos ka!

Ooops, my bad I guess I am not updated on CPP leadership, so it is now Armando Liwanag and not Amado Guerrero anymore, sorry.

PO,
Oo nga dati Amado Guerreo - “Beloved Warrior” - That was when he was in the field.
Ngayon nasa Utrecht definitely not living the life of a warrior kaya Armando Liwanag - arming the light or in his case, Keeper of the Flame lightin a fire na ang pangalan niya..
Now he sings songs to the choir. Songs like ” Mao way.”

rabidmaoist,
have you ever seen or heard Armando? I know he must remain picture-less for security reasons but does anyone even have an audiotape of him speaking?
Has anyone ever seen Armando besides Joma when he is shaving in front of a mirror?

Now Now boys, kayo naman, papansinlang yan si Joma, he is fighting a dead cause, becuase he’s ideology is dead under the water. The moment the berlin wall in germany collapsed so does the iron curtain in eastern europe also collapsed.
Kasi nga the newspapers are flooded with the MILF and MOA-AD news, e nasaan ba ang istorya ng CPP-NDF-NPA???? wala, kaya si joma and his comrades ay nagpapansin.
Look at eh Chinese, they are slowly embracing the commercial ideology, they are opening up their market, even the chinese government corporations are slowly embracing the commercialization and industrialiazation of their economies, e si joma wala na syang ma-isip kaya nag-papansin na lang.
HOY JOMA/AMADAO GUERRERO O ARMANDO LIWANAG liwangain mo naman ang sarili mo. Sige na nga para matigil ka papansinin na nga kita kahit ayaw ko.

I’m almost 100% sure that Armando Liwanag and Joma Sison are one and the same kamote.

Philstar interview excerpts with Joma Sison: EUROPEAN DESK: Interview with Jose Ma. Sison, Utrecht, The Netherlands
STAR: Who is the Chairman of the Communist Party of the Philippines now?
JOMA: Well, it’s Armando Liwanag… (chuckling)
STAR: And you are Liwanag!
JOMA: No (laughing)! The only title I have agreed to having is founding chairperson.
STAR: Are you formally denying that you are Armando Liwanag?
JOMA: Yes. And we say so in court. I was long in prison and have been out of the country too long (grinning).
STAR: If I were to write what I see now, it would go like this, “When a reporter asked JOMA Sison if he was Armando Liwanag, his face broke into a wide grin. He visibly was not going to tell the reporter the truth…..”
JOMA: (chuckling…) You see, how long was I in prison? From ‘77 to ‘86, nearly 9 years! I stayed in the Philippines when I got employed by UP for only 6 months Then I went out of the country so I’ve been out of the country from ‘86 to present.
STAR: The AFP believes that you are Armando Liwanag, so by virtue of being Armando Liwanag, you are therefore the CPP Chairman and have a direct hand in the operations of the NPA?
JOMA: The CPP and the NPA are very collective organizations, their leadership is very collective.

Anna, you’re back!
Did anyone notice how, inconspicuously silent the left-wing groups are in this issue of the BJE-MOA? Satur Ocampo was there in Malaysia to witness the signing of what could be a phantom agreement. Uniffors, would you know how they stand in this issue?
on August 25th, 2008 at 9:44 pm
Hi Tongue! Yep! For another 2 weeks then away for 1 again.
Re left wing groups on the BJE-MOA; read something about Bayan Muna thinggy asking RP and rebels to go back to nego peace table but right you are re BJE-MOA itself, I haven’t seen anything either.
on August 25th, 2008 at 11:11 pm
Tongue,
How they stand on the issue is found in the statements of their leader, Joma

Another week of vacation? Life is hard.
on August 26th, 2008 at 4:45 am
Heh!
Uniffors, life’s never easy for a simple sailor like me… Actually that 1 week off is hard work — will be kicking asses (that of builders, plumbers, electricians, etc, etc…)
on January 2nd, 2010 at 5:45 am
Amado Guerrero, Armando Liwanag all the same: Joma Sison, as also found in several legal depositions
