Winston for President
I saw Winston Garcia, the hand puppet of Bonnie and Clyde, on TV claiming that if he were to take over Meralco he would bring down the price of electricity within one or two months and, if he couldn’t, he would resign.
Hmmm…eh why stop with Meralco? Why not take over Visayan electric, Davao electric and all the electric cooperatives nationwide?
Why stop with electricity? Winston is such a genius, I’m sure he can figure out how to bring down the price of oil, transportation, education, medical care, basic commodities and whatever else he can shake a stick at. He is so good at bringing things down maybe he can also bring down crime and human rights violations. So let’s elect him president of the Philippines not just Meralco.
The only things Winston has to clear up before we people power him to the presidency are:
When will GSIS retirees get their retirement benefits?
Did Winston invest any of their contributions in sub-prime papers and , if he did, is he the only pension fund manager who made a profit from sub-prime?
Now this made my year.

A 160 yard par three, water on the left, bunkers on the right, wind gusting in my face, a six iron in my hand, one hop and my first ace ever. Golfers will understand.

Too bad I don’t play golf.
Go Winston Garcia! Use GSIS funds na kasi to buy all Meralco shares. Hehe.

Ay. I forgot. Wala na nga palang GSIS funds. LOL.

mb,
when i retired from meralco last year, april 15 sunday ang effectivity. aba, nung pumunta ako ng friday, april 13, ready na yung retirement check ko at napalitan ko ng cash the same day.
yung aunt ng misis ko, mag 1 year ng nagretire as public school teacher, up to now, wala pa yung retirement check. baka ganyan yung gagawin nya sa meralco employees, ibibigay nya ang retirement pag mamamatay na yung retiree, hehehe.

Winston Garcia fixing Meralco? Oh boy, that’s terrific!
But maybe, before he fixes other turfs first he must straighten up GSIS. So many anomalies have been popping up one after the other right under Garcia’s nose.
The biggrest of them all is about how GSIS manages the funds coming from the people.
Garcia has been complaining about Meralco’s management, including transparency. Yet, most people are kept in the dark where and how he uses GSIS money. Many teachers esp from Mindanao who applied for loans were even turned down for this reason: no funds available.
Go to ARMM and you will know the magnitude of these anomalies of GSIS, aside from the internal mess coming from ARMM itself.

Congrats sa ace mo! Winston should explain why government employees whose agencies failed to remit their contributions are now being asked to pay for the lapses. Winston should go after these airing agencies instead of punishing its members.
Another thing, Winston should explain why accountants at the GSIS spend their Saturdays, cleaning up its books. If Winston wants transparency, he should be transparent as well instead of hiding behind the assertions of GSIS’s in-house COA auditor.

ayon k winston, pag namatay daw ang meralco retiree, yung survivors will get his pension for life. SINUNGALING! 5 years lang ang guaranteed sa amin, meaning, after 5 years of getting your pension and you die, wala ng makukuha ang dependents mo. if you die within the 5 year-period, say 2 years after retirement, they will give the remaining 3 years of your pension to your dependents.
Kakapal talaga nitong mga to.

schumey,
that’s the problem with this fatguy Winston. gusto lang magpalapad-papel sa amo niyang kurakot. he wants to police meralco for not being transparent, for overcharging customers. granted that these are true, what has he done over the years as a board member of meralco? nung una pa yan madalas i reklamo ng mga tao na masyado mahal ang kuryente, wala pa ring nangyari.
he can’t even police his own ranks within GSIS, or do his job as manager. many govt agencies failed to remit members’ contributions for several years (an example is ARMM). why can’t GSIS force them to remit regularly? why penalize the employees for the fault of their own heads whose only claim to competency is squander money?
if one goes deep enough into all this govt mess, ultimately it brings him right at the doorsteps of Malacanan whose occupant is herself illegal. she tolerates this garcia because of utang na loob for the 1 million+ Cebuano votes the garcias helped deliver to this fake president.
